Lecture 2: Dividend Per Share & Dividend Yield. How to Calculate What You're Actually Earning?
Dividend Per Share (DPS)
DPS is simply the total cash a company has paid out per share over a set period — usually the trailing 12 months. Companies on the JSE almost always pay twice a year (interim and final), so DPS is normally the sum of those two payments.
