been holding ckS since before the rand got properly hammered, distribution play in agri is boring but the margins on seeds and inputs don't lie. at R20.51 you're paying what, maybe 8x on earnings if the drought doesn't wreck another season. comparable retailers trade way higher but they don't have the land exposure ckS has got.

cks breaking r20.51 is the setup we needed. agriculture plays always run hard when rand weakens and input costs stabilize. comparing to the other agri distributors, cks trades on way better multiples while holding steady cashflow. could easily see r150 before year end if they keep this momentum.

Closed at R20.51, holding that R20 level which is decent given the rand's been hectic. CKS hasn't had the earnings pop some of the other agri plays got but the distribution angle into farming keeps them steady, long-term view hasn't changed for me on this one.

Interesting numbers on the ag input side, CKS has been quietly picking up market share while competitors got squeezed on margin. Worth noting the rand weakness is a double edged sword for them, import costs up but export competitive, fwiw their cash generation last couple of years suggests they're not just riding the cycle. R20.51 is reasonable entry if you believe the farming recovery sticks around.

CKS SITTING AT R19.76 AND NOBODY TALKING ABOUT IT!! AGRICULTURAL INPUTS PLAY WITH MASSIVE UPSIDE WHEN COMMODITY CYCLE TURNS!! LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO SIMILAR DISTRIBUTION PLAYS WHEN FERTILISER PRICES NORMALIZED, THIS COULD RUN TO R35-40!! BEST IS YET TO COME!!

After reading the latest MD&A, margins are still getting squeezed by input costs and rand weakness. The seed and agri input distribution model is solid but CKS needs volume growth to offset that, otherwise we're just treading water at R19.76. Key takeaway for me is whether they can actually grow market share in the next two years or if this stays a dividend play for patient holders.

CKS sitting pretty at R19.76, just shy of that R20 psychological level. Agricultural inputs play is solid with rand weakness helping exports, but earnings have been patchy last couple of years. If they can stabilize margins and get proper momentum on the seed distribution side, this could run nicely from here. Long term thesis is there, just needs execution.

CKS up nearly 8% today is interesting given the retail headwinds, but need to see if this is earnings-driven or just technical bounce. Revenue growth and that dividend yield will tell us if there's substance here or just sentiment swinging.

CKS down 1.77% to R1890 — is this the market overreacting to retail headwinds or should we be concerned about their distribution channels holding up?

CKS down 1.77% to R1890 today—retail pressure is real. Question is whether this is capitulation or just the market repricing their exposure to weakening consumer spending.

CKS at R1800 climbing steady while PPC struggles with cement headwinds. Distribution play holding its own better than industrial-heavy peers.

CKS up 1.41% to R1800 today but the retail space is still brutal. Question is whether their wholesale division can offset store headwinds.

CKS at R1790 feels like it's stuck in a holding pattern while the retail environment sorts itself out. The uptick today (+0.85%) is nice but doesn't change the fact that consumer discretionary plays are fighting against tough conditions.
