SLG sitting at R0.91 with that R205m market cap, eish, feels like theres some value here if you believe in the asset management story. Problem is the volumes are kak and theres bigger players doing the same thing. Long term only works if management actually grows the AUM, otherwise youre just holding a shrinking pie.

Asset managers getting smashed this cycle, rates still high and retail flow is weak. SLG at R0.91 is pricing in a lot of pain but the fees on AUM are still sticky if they keep clients. Long-term view hasn't changed, waiting to see how many redemptions they announce in the next results.

market cap of R205m is tiny for an asset manager, even locally. hard to compete with the big boys when you're that small. could read as why the pea's been stuck at R0.85, volume's been dead. question is whether they're actually growing AUM or just treading water.

Good Morning Everyone. SLG closed R0.85, market cap sitting around R205m which is pretty lean for an asset manager. Need to see if they can grow AUM and actually cut costs, otherwise just shuffling around with retail clients. Compare that to larger peers and the gap is real.

R0.85 is pretty cheap for an asset manager tbh, especially if they're picking up more mandates. the whole financials space got hammered but slg's got room to run if they can grow aum and keep costs down. holding for the long game here.

SLG's market cap sits around R205m which feels light for an asset manager with institutional reach, ngl. The spread between what comparable mid-tier firms trade at and where SLG sits suggests either the market's sleeping or there's real operational headwinds we're not seeing yet. Either way, if they can grow AUM steadily and keep costs down, positioned perfectly for a rerating once sentiment shifts.

SLG sitting at R1.00 is pretty lean for an asset manager with institutional backing. If they can keep fees sticky through load-shedding chaos and get some traction on the retail side, could be decent value here. Market cap of R205m means it doesn't take much volume to move it either. Might be one for the patient money.

SLG sitting at R1.00 is basically pennies for an asset manager with institutional backing. The rand weakness helping offshore exposure but management needs to prove they can grow AUM without diluting shareholders again. If they can hold onto their client base through this load-shedding nightmare at least the fees keep flowing.

Not sure about this one. R1.00 and R205m market cap, where's the actual earnings coming from. Asset management needs scale to work, do they have it or are they still burning cash trying to get there.

SLG up 28% today is a sharp move. compared to other financials like Sanlam and Discovery, this gain suggests either positive earnings news or a catch-up play from oversold levels, though need to check if the volume backs it or if it's just thin trading.
