BRN sitting at R5.71 is criminally undervalued for a holding company with the portfolio they've built. People complaining about no earnings are missing the point, these things compound over years not quarters. Look at what Berkshire was before it became Berkshire, same playbook.

BRN closed at R5.71 which is basically nowhere near where it should be if you actually look at the portfolio holdings. Guys are sitting on decent stakes in financial services names and the discount to NAV is just silly. Long term play if the rand steadies out a bit, these investment holding comps always have their day.

BRN's been a dog for years ngl but the portfolio mix is finally looking interesting. Holdings in fintech and insurance are actually worth something if management can stop sitting on their hands. R5.71 is still cheap if they sort out the capital allocation, otherwise just another holding company taking a cut for doing nothing.

Took a knock today at minus 4% so I'm holding tight rather than chasing it lower, reckon the financials sector needs a proper catalyst before I even think about averaging down on this one.

interesting numbers on brimstone lately, nav per share trending ok but the discount to peers is still chunky. management's been quiet on deployment which imo matters more than the holding itself, fwiw. R5.50 pricing in some caution but the yield's not terrible if they actually put capital to work properly.

BRN's been grinding higher and that 2.40% pop today suggests some institutional interest filtering back in, though the financials sector remains under pressure. At these levels with the dividend yield still decent, it's worth monitoring if this consolidation holds or if we're jus

Everyone's dumping BRN on the -8.28% move but this financials play is oversold given the dividend yield still looks decent relative to peers and the broader sector rotation hasn't changed the fundamentals. Leverage works both ways, and panic sellers often hand sharp entries to th

BRN up 8.11% to R539 today. Their healthcare portfolio exposure is what's catching bids—investors sniffing out value in that space.
