rand's been hammered against the dollar lately so that's helping some of the heavy hitters in the index, but most of the gains are just noise imo. inflation's still too high here and the fed's probably done hiking which means rates could stay sticky for a while, not great for earnings. long-term view hasn't changed though, markets are shaky but the index has some solid dividend plays if you've got the stomach to hold through this.
