The thing with NRP is you're basically renting out bits of Sandton City or those big malls to Shoprite and Edgars, collecting rent cheques every month. Problem is, when load-shedding hits hard or people stop going to shops, those tenants struggle to pay, which means your dividend cheque gets smaller, and that's what's been happening lately.
