Pbt Group (JSE: PBG) share price, discussion & sentiment

Grabbed some PBG at R6.85 this morning after that mild pop, reckoning the financials sector might be finding some footing here and the dividend yield still looks attractive relative to where rates are heading.

@rawssy_links yep, valuations are actually reasonable at R7.30

pbg closed at R7.30 and holding decent support there. holding company plays like this are usually about what they own, not the holding itself, so the real question is whether management can actually generate returns above what you'd get buying the assets direct. insurance exposure through their stakes is solid but you need earnings growth to justify staying in at these levels, not just asset backing.
