Why we collect it (Purpose of processing)
- To provide and improve the StockTalk service
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To send service notifications (price alerts, weekly digest if opted in)
- To process payments for Premium subscriptions via Stripe
- To comply with legal obligations under South African law

How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing, subject to Stripe's own privacy policy
- Analytics providers — aggregate, anonymised usage data only
- Law enforcement — if required by a valid legal process under South African law
Data storage and security
Your data is stored on servers in AWS af-south-1 (Cape Town, South Africa) with industry-standard encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after deletion for fraud prevention and legal compliance.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to processing in certain circumstances
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
